Sunder ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Data We Collect
Account Data: When you create an account (via Sign in with Apple or email), we store your user ID and email address. Anonymous users have a randomly generated ID with no personal information attached.
Usage Data: We store your album ratings, tags, genre progress, daily fracture completions, XP, and streak data. This is core to the app's functionality.
Analytics: We use TelemetryDeck for privacy-friendly, anonymous usage analytics. TelemetryDeck does not collect personal data, IP addresses, or device identifiers. See TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not track your location
- We do not access your contacts, photos, or files
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising
- We do not use cookies or tracking pixels

3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide the core app experience (ratings, progress, recommendations)
- To sync your data across devices when you sign in
- To compute your taste profile and personalized suggestions
- To maintain your daily streak
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS in the US East region). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Local data is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
5. Sign in with Apple
When you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide us with your email address (or a private relay address). We use this solely for account identification. We do not send marketing emails.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings > Delete Account within the app. This permanently and irreversibly deletes all your data from our servers.
7. Children's Privacy
Sunder is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
